Has anyone seen these Long Distance Touch Lamps that are out there? I like the idea on a couple of different levels. Please note that I do not have any financial interest in these lamps just thought it was nice idea. I can do the same thing by picking up the phone but this is a unique way of letting someone know you're thinking of them.

I didn't know what this was so I googled it. Kinda neat! I would have loved this as a kid so my best friend and I could message each other from our homes, maybe a little Morse code or something, but kids these days would rather text or skype. If I gave one to my Dad he would be all "this dang lamp you gave me is broke! It only lights up when I get near it and then flashes all day whenever it wants too!" LOL!

I know what you mean, the world, especially the world of communications is moving so fast I can't keep up. My son and daughter can make my phone do things I didn't even know existed!
Your last bit about your dad really made me laugh. It made me think of the Twelve Pains of Christmas by the Bob Rivers Comedy Group. On the ninth pain dad says "now why the h*ll are they blinking?" about the Christmas lights. Thanks for the laugh! I'm only in my mid 40's but the sad part is if my wife hadn't put me on to these lamps I'm sure I would have thought the same thing!

I love the idea of saying good night to grand daughter's with these!! What a cute way to let someone know you are thinking about them!
